[That earns a small smile from Skye. Trotsky meanwhile is loving that. Aw yis. More more. He rolls on his back shamelessly, little tail wagging happily underneath him.]

[Skye gets comfortable too, snuggling up and closing her eyes. She stays like that for a while, happy to just enjoy the moment. She laces her fingers in between his on his free hand, uses her other hand to trace the tattoo on his wrist-- not the HERO one, the other one.]

[That soothes him a bit. He's still pretty unhappy about these circumstances, but right now is improving, at least.

He nuzzles up to her and watches her trace his tattoo out of the corner of his eye. Girls love doing that. He's not sure why.]

It's kinda cool, I guess. Does it have any particular meaning, or...?

[hostage]

It's a scorpion.

[He shifts his hand a little to make it more obvious. Maybe. It's still pretty damn stylized, but the pincers are there if you're looking for them.]

[Her little smile gets slightly wider.]

Oh yeah... I can see it. ... Why a scorpion? Wait. Lemme guess. 'Cause they're badass?

[He huffs out a laugh.]

Pretty much, yeah. Mostly I just thought it looked cool.

My dad was so pissed.

[hackitude]

[A brief flicker of some other emotion passes over Skye's face briefly, at the mention of Jesse's dad being pissed. Ah, right-- normal people things. Normal people have families that care if they get tattoos. What would that have been like? Skye wonders.

But then it passes quickly as it came and her goofy smile settles back into place.]

Uh huh. I got your number, Jesse Pinkman.

[hostage]

[That's right, Skye. You, too, could be an embarrassing failure and a disappointment to everyone you love!

He completely misses her wistful moment, though. He's still looking at their entwined hands.]

Maybe I should get a new one. I dunno if it'll work, though...

Oh. Nuh-uh. I read about this scenario in a trashy werewolf novel once. Accelerated healing means tattoos totally don't work.

You sure you ain't saying that 'cause you're scared I'll get your name tattooed across my chest?

[hackitude]

[Skye grins and turns around a little so she can drum her fingers across Jesse's chest.]

If you did that, you know I'm going to have to break up with you on account of that being literally too cheesy to live.

You know I'm gonna do it now.

[hackitude]

Uh huh. I'll bet.

Come on, tell me about this one.

[She taps the dragon up near the top of his chest, softly though. It might be mostly obscured by his shirt, but she knows where it is.]

Ummmmm... You ever see Dragon Ball?

[hackitude]

... Are you kidding me right now? "Did I ever see Dragon Ball." Please. It's like you don't even know me.

It was like the one thing that would get me to come home on time in middle school. Run home to watch Dragon Ball on TV.

I just wanted a dragon tattoo after that.

[That earns a soft laugh-- not like she's laughing at him, it's just a sort of... fondness.]

I feel like I should've seen that coming.

... Hey, you think the cast of Dragon Ball might ever show up here? We've got like, Batman and Robin after all.

[She can laugh at him. It's okay.]

Yo, how awesome would that be? I mean, why not? At this point, I expect anything. Maybe next month we'll be chilling with Goku.

[hackitude]

Hey, all I'm saying is, if Vegeta ever turns up you're in trouble. I had a mad crush on him when I was twelve.

[Skye, you have A Type, and that type is BOYS WHO ARE NO GOOD.]

Vegeta? Seriously?

[Yeah, she does.]

[Jesse you shouldn't complain, it's this exact quality which is the reason she's dating you, after all.]

I can hear you're judging me, but just hear me out. He's like this badass... prince from another planet who's all like, super macho and stuff, right? Grr macho posturing. But then he has this giant soft spot for Bulma, who's just like... this girl. And boy do you know who wears the pants in THAT relationship. I mean, macho posturing or not, you know he'd do anything for her. I don't know, I think that's sweet.

Well, I mean, of course he would. Bulma's pretty hot. Totally my type.

[IT'S A CARTOON. It's not like twelve year old Skye was really thinking about the morality of mass murder on a children's cartoon where people die left right and center anyway.]
