So how are we gonna do this cake thing? Joel's birthday is the day before so I'm gonna be with him, but we can start our new careers as bakers in the evening. Or the morning of Jesse's. Maybe make him think we forgot.

You're going to need to help me with the guest list, though. I don't actually know who any of his friends are, other than you, me, Joel and Kara.

Maybe we invite them and have Jesse call up his other friends once he knows there's a party? I have no idea if that works.

Better not. Jesse probably suspects something. Since I asked and all, but he probably would never expect us to bake anything. Still... can't let him down.

And, on the plus side, I don't think us with healing can get food poisoning.

Oh come on. It's not going to be that bad. It's just cake! Worst that can happen is we burn it.

We can't give him a burnt cake. That's like... coal. On Christmas.

Please. We're not going to give him burnt cake. If we screw up that badly, we can just go out and buy one. Or make sixty second mug-cakes.

.... mud cakes? Wow, that's mean.

--A mug cake. Mug! Not mud. Geez.

It's a cake you can make in a mug. You put all the ingredients in and then pop it in the microwave and then bam. Instant cake.

Oh. Whoops, sorry. Never heard of... mug cakes, before.

[There's a somewhat dreamy sigh here.] I love microwaves. They're so awesome.

But we gotta do a legit cake. And not fuck it up.
