[Without hesitation, she's going to the door to usher her in. No need to catch any undue attention. She's already turned off her communicator, just in case. It's too bad she can't turn off the damn wifi hot spot in her arm.

Anyway ... she leads Skye in, motioning to the couch. It's obvious she shares the space with someone else, but it's also obvious that Kate has done all the interior decorating. Purple really goes a long way!]

Do you want anything to drink?

[Skye steps in and looks around briefly, before flopping comfortably on the couch. For someone who probably has a warrant out for her arrest, she looks inordinately pleased with herself.]

... Okay, I'll admit it. I don't actually have any more than that right now. It was a cheap trick to get people interested. But I'm working on it. Lachesis is a real piece of work, haha.

I wanted people to see that the government isn't infallible, isn't as scary as they think. To start doing more of their own investigating. So even if one person gets sent home or whatever, people will keep digging.

I agree that the approach was effective, but I'm worried about the fallout. Do you have a plan?

[Though Kate's communicator is off, she and Loki already have a plan.

I believe you covered your tracks, but I also know that they have files on all of us. We already know who one hacker is, and they'll go after the others. It's a matter of time, even if our conversation was under Skye-managed lock and key.

[There's a pause.]

Besides, they wouldn't have anything to hold me on. I got that information through legitimate channels, and they can spot a break.

[There's something on Kate's features that says that she doesn't entirely trust the situation or her safety.]

Apparently, Noh's crazy ex-girlfriend got caught in the middle of beating up a bunch of superheroes, so Noh, David, and Teddy got involved. Only their involvement led to them running around with a C-list villain whose powers are kind of flight and invisibility. Kind of.

[She rattles it off rather quickly. The night she got those texts, she couldn't believe it.

Then again, she could also believe it.
