Not always. I've met people who know they can be arrogant so they plan for it.

I mean, take Tony Stark for example. Smartest dude I know personally. Runs a multi-national, multi-billion dollar corporation founded on his own science. Twice my age. Still gets tripped up by his ego.

Then he's not really that smart. Being good at science isn't the only way to be smart.
